You're a brilliant instructor
Who's here from Table Manners?
Will the garlic not burn while browning the onions?
This was so good
hilariously funny this vid like we don't how to make it by now ha ha
Thank you so much for this! Brilliantly explained :)
I realize this is a few years ago now but! I'm a sad old git living over in Tennessee, and I use Nisha's guide for rice, perfectly done every time! Then I hop around the kitchen like a complete wally! Thank you Nisha! X
Got to love that bullshit English enunciation.
OMG beautiful
simple and easy to understand, great tutorial thanks so much
very weird presentation! it almost seems like you resent this
Excellent instructional but I don't think you should be touching your hair during the cooking process.
Thank you so much, I love curries but I am always bamboozled by the multitude of spices. Lately I've just been using a preprepared paste, but I am on my own and end up wasting quite a lot.
❤❤❤
Thank you for making this video. I was somewhat stumped by this ingredient, as far as understanding its use in its different forms.
Finding these videos is a blessing. She explains more details like explaining why you use what spices and what spices go together and when to add them, and all with the reasons why. 👌 She has good musical tastes too.
Pl# don’t lick your fingers. Good cooking though
Do you have an ingredient list & how to prepare for your chicken curry? My husband has most of the ingredients. Your recipe looks delicious!
Another terrible cook
Oooo Nisha! You are gorgeous... I'd marry you tomorrow. Do you really own a Cat though?
Yummy❤😅🎉 I ❤️ Indian Smell❤
Thank you. I always loved Indian food but with your recipes I started having it at home every week. It’s great also because this way I eat more vegetables
This is so simple a ddelights. I continue to make this. Thank you for all the education.
Thank you so much Nisha! I couldn't understand why the seeds were useful until you showed the key of heating them in oil to bring out flavour. They are so round that I thought they had been processed or something and didn't expect that they would germinate. However, as another commenter from NZ noted, they are ultra easy to germinate! I put boiling water on them and left them soaking overnight. Then drained them and kept them moist, changing the water daily, in about three days I had a whole jam jar full of methi seed sprouts. I haven't tried eating a methi seed sprout yet, but probs yummy on top of salads? Thank you! PS Oh, by the way, when in a hurry to get to work and not knowing what to take for lunch I have thrown rice in a microwave pot with dried fenugreek / methi leaves and a spoonful of peanut butter. Quick and easy. The dried methi is a bit chewy out of the microwave at work but everyone loves the wonderful aromatic scent. And, it tastes really good for a lunch that takes two minutes to throw together. Can't wait to try the same with fresh green methi, cross fingers in a few more days time! Come on methi shoots! Grow! Grow! Grow! :)
Omg you are so funny I love it. Well explained!💯
Cant understand one word😫
That was so good. The best and most interesting and educational explanation
very yummy. enjoy. yum yum 💞💞👍
Thank you so much.
Great video !! How do u use the powder form in a curry chicken dish?
Lovely, I will try it since my dear friend (usually cooks curry and invites me over) but I can’t wait ,I want it today 😂, only thing I have against this video is the loose hair😢,other than that, excellent and thanks
Nisha you are mesmerizing in every way. Great video
Is too much talk
Just found this today 18/12/23. Cannot believe its 12 years old. Best cooking video I have ever seen. No silly music or zooming in and out, just excellent, practical teaching, thoroughly explaining not just the how's but also the why's. Loved the no nonsense approach to curries. Just googled Nisha and found she has done a lot more videos so will be watching them.
You are an incredible communicator! I've only just found you and watching your video I feel I can have the confidence to try cooking a curry dish rather than buying packet stuff! Thank you so much for being so articulate, stunning female who knows her foods! Good Luck in everything your do!
That’s why I grow it 😎🌱🌱🌱
Hi Nisha, How does your mum make her mustard sauce? thanks.
Love the simple recipe! It really helps me to indianize western vegetables :)

Recipe 1: Creamy Chicken Curry #### Ingredients: - Chicken pieces - Onions, finely chopped - Garlic, minced - Ginger, ground (frozen cubes recommended) - Garam masala (2-3 teaspoons) - Turmeric - Chili powder (to taste) - Creme fraiche (or yogurt/cream) - Ground almonds (optional) - Salt (to taste) - Sugar (optional, for sweetness) - Fresh coriander, chopped (for garnish) #### Instructions: 1. **Prepare the Masala Base:** In a pan, fry onions, garlic, and ginger in oil until onions turn pinkish brown. Add garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder, and cook until aromatic. 2. **Cook the Chicken:** Add the chicken pieces to the masala and cook until the meat is sealed and begins absorbing the spices. 3. **Make It Creamy:** Add creme fraiche to cover the chicken. Stir well and let it simmer. You can add water to adjust the consistency. 4. **Add Flavors:** If desired, add ground almonds for texture. Season with salt and a bit of sugar if you like a sweeter curry. 5. **Garnish and Serve:** Once the chicken is cooked through, garnish with fresh coriander. Serve hot. ### Recipe 2: Rich Tomato-Based Chicken Curry #### Ingredients: - Chicken pieces - Onions, finely chopped - Garlic, minced - Ginger, ground (frozen cubes recommended) - Garam masala (2-3 teaspoons) - Turmeric - Chili powder (to taste) - Tomatoes, chopped - Green and red bell peppers, chopped (optional) - Salt (to taste) - Fresh coriander, chopped (for garnish) #### Instructions: 1. **Prepare the Masala Base:** As in the first recipe, fry onions, garlic, and ginger in oil until onions are brown. Add garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder. 2. **Cook the Chicken:** Add chicken to the masala and cook until sealed. 3. **Add Tomatoes:** Introduce chopped tomatoes to the pan. Cook until the tomatoes lose their rawness and the oil separates, indicating the spices have blended well with the tomatoes. 4. **Vegetable Addition (Optional):** You can add chopped bell peppers or other vegetables for extra flavor and texture. 5. **Season and Simmer:** Season with salt. Let the curry simmer until the chicken is fully cooked. 6. **Garnish and Serve:** Garnish with fresh coriander and serve.
Oh, how I wish I had taken heed of your comments about the smell of dried fenugreek leaves!!! Bought some to 'enhance' a curry I made a couple of nights ago and I can still smell the damn stuff. Seems to have seeped into the fabric of the house! Only used a tiny amount! The rest is going in the bin!😃
The Accent..
Best explanation on cooking a curry I have ever seen, thnak you Nisha
Super easy.amazing
Nice video. Thanks.
